  • What is the tuition?
    Tuition for the current year is $22,155.
  • Does Hadar offer tuition assistance, and how will it be administered?
    Hadar offers tuition assistance. This is a confidential process separate from school leadership, administered by FACTS, and reviewed by an independent third-party committee.
  • Is there a school uniform?
    Students are expected to observe an appropriate dress code. Skirts must be A-line, solid color, and completely cover the knee when sitting and standing. Shirts must be button down, cover the collarbone, and sleeves must cover the elbow. All girls must wear closed toe shoes.
  • What are the school hours?
    The school day begins at 8:20 A.M. with davening. The day ends at 4:55 P.M. On Fridays, the school day begins at 8:20 A.M. and ends at 12:30 P.M.
  • Does Hadar prepare its graduates to go to seminary and college?
    Hadar offers excellence in all areas and our graduates will be prepared to apply to the seminary and college of their choice. However, we will promote religious and educational opportunities that are consistent with the values of our school. At the appropriate time, Israel and college guidance counselors will help the students strategize their application process.
  • What are the criteria for admission? Is there a placement exam?
    Hadar welcomes applications from girls who share our hashkafah and who will benefit from our program. The application process includes: completing an application, submitting 7th and 8th grade report cards, teacher recommendation letters, an interview, and a placement exam.
  • What is the provision for gifted children and for special needs children?
    Initially, the small number of students enables differentiated learning programs where necessary. As the school grows, Hadar will continue to provide essential learning programs where needed.
  • Does the school have a technology vision?
    Technology is now an integral part of the classroom. Hadar incorporates the best practices and ensures that our teachers and students are literate in the most up to date developments and opportunities.
  • Does Hadar use a learning management system to manage student academics?
    Hadar uses Gradelink as a platform for teachers to post grades and communicate student progress throughout the year.
  • What is the Limudei Kodesh curriculum?
    The Limudei Kodesh curriculum consists of four core courses: Chumash/Parsha, Navi, Halacha, and Hebrew Language. Throughout their high school career, students will also take Machshava/Jewish Philosophy, Contemporary Halachik Issues and Jewish History.
  • What is the General Studies curriculum?
    The General Studies curriculum consists of four core courses: History, Mathematics, English and Science. Additionally, electives such as Graphic Design, Art, Hashkafa and Photography are offered throughout High School. Hadar offers AP courses in various subjects and will offer additional AP courses as the school grows.
  • Is Hadar High School Accredited?
    Hadar is currently accredited by Cognia (formerly AdvancEd).
  • What provision is being made for subjects needing special equipment such as Science?
    Science is part of the core curriculum at Hadar High School. We provide all necessary materials and equipment to satisfy lab requirements.
  • Does Hadar offer transportation options?
    In an effort to facilitate students from the South Florida Jewish community to attend Hadar, the school offers partially subsidized transportation.
  • Is there a physical education program in Hadar?
    There is a private area designated for physical education on the Hadar High School Campus.
  • What extra-curricular activities will be available?
    We currently offer extra-curricular programs which include: Chesed, Israel Advocacy (HIPAC), Hadar Headlines, Student Council, Bikur Cholim, G.E.M. (Growing Each Month), Student Programming, Hadar Health, Production, Cooking Club, Music Theory, Choir, Yearbook and Intramural Basketball. We are always eager to hear additional suggestions from our students.
  • Is there a policy regarding a Hadar High School student participation in social programs outside of school and summer programs?
    In order to ensure that our students continue to grow and develop in environments that are consistent with the values of Hadar High School, students are expected to participate in outside of school and summer programs that share those same values.
  • How can parents get involved in the school?  Are there opportunities to volunteer?
    Education is a partnership between parents, students and teachers. At Hadar, we have ample volunteer opportunities available for parents, as well as learning opportunities throughout the year with parents, teachers and students.
